1. do something crazy before leaving middle school: I wanna leave my mark some how.
2. have an adventure outside of my daily ones: I could be getting lost or traveling or whatever. I’ll know it when I see it.
3. be more kind: I feel like no matter what anyone writes in my yearbook, I’m not that nice or sweet and I want to work on that.
4.  relax: I need to remember school shouldn’t be my first priority and neither should dance. I am my first priority and my well-being is more important.
5. survive high school.
6. turn 15 (it’s a joke).
7. work on photography: I feel like I need to improve, and one way is to get an internship with a photography company.
8. work on poetry: I’m not that good (even if I like it) so I’m planning on working on it.
9. do 12 things I’ve never done before: one for each month.
10. live: again, school shouldn’t be my first priority. when I’m 90, I’d rather tell my grandkids stories of adventure then how I got all As in high school.

one year

it’s been a year.

an amazing, breathtaking, growing up year.

here I was, today, last year, sitting on my old, brown couch in front of a christmas tree in my old house. I was in pjs, cross legged as i decided why the heck not and created a blog. Half put up new years decorations clung to the walls around me. I remember the satisfaction when I managed to 'design' my blog ;)

Now? A new house, new couch, I’m a new person. 

so much has happened.

new house.

pool.

new books.

dance squad.

new friends.

first middle school crush [disaster].

and yet, there’s so much left to do. 

I have so much to learn. I want an internship with a photography company. I’m going to graduate middle school and enter high school. I have dance academy auditions and field trips to attend. Books to read and movies to see. I can tell 2016 is going to be a big year.

so thank you so much for an amazing year at A Falling Star aka An Open Window. And I can’t wait for another.
