Those Summer Days
1.11.2015
I still remember those summer days.
Those days when the air had a sticky, warm feeling.
The sun always shone.
Breezes blew left and right,
rustling the grass under my bare toes and long hair.
Those days at the beach.
Soft, sand.
Waves which drew me to the murky ocean water
Salty breezes that mused my hair with one blow
Those days of adventure
In my backyard
At summer camp
on my family trip in Ohio.
Those days at the library
Scouring the shelves for books
reading for hours
Drinking star bucks and eating gummy bears at the cafe
Those days of enjoyment.
I was content.
Relaxed.
free.
I used to watch the days go by.
Now I am too busy to stop and watch.
I continue on with school. Dance. Movies. Reading.
Instead I dream of Those Summer Days.
