Straight from Amazon:When Margo Roth Spiegelman beckons Quentin Jacobsen in the middle of the night—dressed like a ninja and plotting an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows her. Margo’s always planned extravagantly, and, until now, she’s always planned solo. After a lifetime of loving Margo from afar, things are finally looking up for Q . . . until day breaks and she has vanished. Always an enigma, Margo has now become a mystery. But there are clues. And they’re for Q.
Characters:
I found that Margo and Q. were more stereotypical characters in the beginning- nerd and self obsessed popular girl- but as the story went on they had more depth to their personalities. These characters are definitely seen in my world, even if I am in middle school not high school.
Plot:
I felt this story had a rough start as it didn't start with much action. It's told in three parts and they all have little action. I found the plot had a few twists and turns, but not a plot twist you would be looking for.
Overall:
I give it a 7/10 because the characters are real, but the plot itself wasn't as engaging as the preview thing read.

Thanks Amazon:
When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy–loving best friend riding shotgun—but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. Love, friendship, and a dead Austro-Hungarian archduke add up to surprising and heart-changing conclusions in this ingeniously layered comic novel about reinventing oneself.
Characters:
Colin seems like a real kid as he questions his ability to be a prodigy and struggles to find a way to "matter" in the world. One thing that sets him apart between the world of writing and reality is that he's only ever dated Katherines. There isn't much of a reason for this at all.
His best friend, Hassan, seems like a very relaxed kid anyone would want to hang out with. There is not much depth to him and he doesn't change over the course of the book. He seems like a place holder for Colins one and only friend.
Plot:
Though the whole idea behind this is they go on a road trip, they only travel so far before stopping in one town and staying there for quite some time.
There was a slight, but not too surprising plot twist.
And the ending doesn't wrap the story or the characters up. It kinda leaves you staring at your book with your tongue hanging out wondering what the heck happened the characters.
Overall:
I give this story a 8/10 because I believe the ending wasn't ended enough for, especailly since there is not a sequal.

It sounds like I don't want to read any of these. Thank you for warning me against the dangers of non-fantasy/adventures. XD
